Average burgers, excellent fries and beer battered onion rings. Like most little spots in this wonderful little town, this joint also serves sarsaparilla in a glass bottle for that authentic feel. We found that this spot best when you need a quick bite to eat, most other restaurants there will have a wait during peak hours.

They serve a bison burger, which is exciting if you got to see some in the national park there, but the best deal is the kids cheese burger basket.

Slooooow. With maybe 5 primary menu choices and  2 of them burgers, you'd think they could turn an order around faster than 30 minutes.
We were told it'd be 20-30 minutes after an hour we had to walk away. Couldn't wait to get our money back because we didn't have time to get to the musical.
The manager didn't seem apologetic or concerned.
They don't seem to know how to have the burgers on the grill and cooking. They don't seem to know how to cook until it's paid for.

The Maltese Burger is a really different sort of burger joint....

First off the name is taken from "The Maltese Cross" which was the name of the first cabin that Theodore Roosevelt had built after his first trip to the region.

Orders are "to go" or you may enjoy the corner street dining atmosphere of this quaint western town. Choose from large, metal, picnic style tables, with or without large umbrellas. Depending on the day and time you are there....you might be treated to musical entertainment on the outdoor stage.

As for the burgers... the signature "Maltese" is scrumptious! Perfectly cooked with the cheese melted between the patties of beef. The aioli sauce is very good. Pricing on items is reasonable and average.

I wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend.

Not excited by this place. The burger was of good size- and served HOT off the grill. That is the best I could say for it. Seating was outside at metal tables either shaded or in full sun.

The tomato looked really good- the inly problem was that I asked for no tomato. The cheese had no taste, and the mayo spread was the same. The burger was a bit of a sloppy mess- and that was not meant as a compliment.

Fair price for a slightly below average meal.

Yes, this place takes a little time for your order but I promise you it is so worth it. The signature Maltese burger is phenomenal and has a signature aioli sauce that is so awesome! If you're into burgers, this is your stop in Medora! The onion rings are fantastic as well!
